Interesting facts about the project
Project European Region Euregio - community and school partnerships 2020
This project is carried out by a team of MCI students in their 4th Semester. It is about to gather practical experience and to make use of the things they have already learned in their classes so far. In the frame of this project, they should learn for example how to communicate with project partners professionally and how to research by themselves. The team has to set up different types of plans until a specific date and apply management skills which they had learned in theory before. Because the students spend almost the entire semester on the topic of the project, they become “experts” in the field.
The project started on 4th March 2020 at a meeting with one of the project partners, Mag. Fritz Tiefenthaler. At this meeting, we set up two SMART goals:
The first target is to examine the current situation and the expectations of the partner communities and those communities which do not yet participate in the European Region Euregio. Therefore the project team has to make a questionnaire and should find out what the factors for success are and what the obstacles are. The aim is that as many municipal councils as possible from Tyrol (279 communities) and South Tyrol (116 communities) will complete the questionnaire.
If they have done so, one of the most significant milestones is to write the seminar paper, which will include all the literature, the plans, the questionnaire and its evaluation.
The second goal is to set up a plan for a meeting between elementary school pupils and their parents from partner communities of Tyrol and South Tyrol. The students will also learn during this period how to plan in great detail and how to draw up a budget. The draft report of the project shall be finished until 1 July 2020.
The seminar paper and the report will be presented at the project fair on 1 July 2020. But it is not yet clear whether the project fair can take place due to COVID-19.
